BT appoints new security chief for European operations

BT has appointed Hila Meller as its vice president for security, Europe, replacing Luke Beeson, who has left BT after 12 years with the company.

Meller, who is based in Milan, joins from DXC Technology, the company created from the merger of CSC and the enterprise services business of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).

Mark Hughes, CEO of BT Security, said: “Her extensive knowhow and more than 20 years of experience in the security and cyber business, combined with her strong relationships with customers, partners and analysts, will ensure security is at the heart of our growth strategy in Europe.”

Meller joined HPE in 2016 after six years with CA Technologies, also based in Milan, where she specialised in security.

She is a mathematician and computer scientist, trained at Bar-Ilan University near Tel Aviv.
