DataGryd, the Manhattan data centre specialists, has named Thomas Brown as its new president and chief executive officer.
In his new position Brown will be
responsible for the development and execution of
DataGryd’s short and long-term strategies for
financial growth, as well as overseeing the
company’s operations and management. Under his
direction DataGryd plans to lease an additional 60,000 sqft of
usable data centre space over the next 18 to 24 months.
Speaking about his new role, Brown said: "I am thrilled for
the opportunity to join DataGryd’s exceptional
team as we work together to acquire a new wave of customers
seeking customized wholesale and colocation solutions. With the
largest single footprint data centre available in New York,
DataGryd has displayed extraordinary leadership within New York
City’s telecommunications community. I believe my
extensive experience in sales and revenue generation will
enable me to effectively lead the company toward continued
growth and success."

experience in the industry particularly in start-ups,

Before joining DataGryd Brown was in charge of the content,
cable, and data centre divisions of Windstream’s
Wholesale Business Unit. Prior to that he was Senior Vice
President of Sales and Marketing at FiberNet Telecom Group from
1999 -2000. During this time he was a part of the sale of the
company to the Zayo Group.
