Amdocs signs multi-year services contract with Globe Telecom

Amdocs has signed a multi-year services contract with Globe Telecom, one of the biggest telecoms providers in the Philippines.

Under the agreement, Amdocs Intelligent Operations will support Globe Telecom in managing third-party systems and cloud management solutions. This includes: updating and running IT operations for multiple businesses, such as prepaid and post-paid mobile services, fixed-line broadband and enterprise services.

In addition, with Amdocs Intelligent Operations is considering artificial intelligence, chatbots and machine learning technologies to increase business agility. The automation will enable faster resolution of issues and improved customer experience. As a result, Globe Telecom says it will be able to speed up their digital journey while at the same time reducing costs and launching new services.

At the beginning of the year, Amdocs announced its intention to buy Vubiquity, the premium content and technology solutions provider, for approximately $224 million in cash. The increased capacity will allow the two companies to offer enhanced digital content capabilities to network operators, video distributors, OTT companies, content owners and content producers.
