Pilot is leveraging Telia Carrier’s global IP backbone to deliver guaranteed broadband 200 times faster than traditional ISPs.
These services enable Pilot to expand its regional infrastructure, support backbone traffic and enhance the end-user experience throughout north-eastern US. The company’s high-IQ fibre-optic internet offers businesses speeds of up to 10Gbps in offices and 100Gbps in data centres.
“Businesses today demand the highest-quality online experience to best serve their customers. Pilot started its business with this understanding and is committed to providing the highest-speed, most resilient, dedicated bandwidth,” said Rob Pulkownik, director of market development at Telia Carrier.
“The fact that Pilot chose Telia Carrier to deliver services to meet these demands highlights our ability to turn up services quickly and provide a resilient, global backbone at the highest speeds available. We’re committed to partnering with Pilot to help them better serve their customers.”
Telia Carrier’s global fibre backbone has grown organically, without acquisitions, and it claims it was the first to be 100G-enabled in both Europe and North America, adding it was also “the first network to successfully transmit 1Tbps in super channels on its US network”.
Christian Koch, manager of core network planning at Pilot, added: “Pilot was founded on the belief that businesses deserve guaranteed connectivity and a service that gives consumers the experience they want. We’ve always been focused on taking care of our customers, no matter their size. Telia Carrier has been a true partner to Pilot as we continue to realise our vision of delivering uninterrupted, dedicated broadband connectivity to customers at speeds of up to 200 times faster than the competition. Telia delivers a superior customer experience, technical excellence, and true value to our business. We look forward to continuing to expand our network across the US with Telia Carrier, a reliable, valued partner that offers us a great business proposition.”
