Ethernity Networks, the provider of data processing technology, has appointed Rob O’Hara as its new vice president of worldwide sales.

O’Hara enters the role with over 30 years’ experience in sales leadership within the networking and semiconductor market. His most recent position was as vice president of sales at Mellanox Technologies, where he was responsible for global network processor and multicore sales.

Speaking on his new role, O’Hara said: "I strongly believe in Ethernity's high quality FPGA-based solutions, and I've already seen great interest from clients in the telecom industry. I'm looking forward to growing the business and taking Ethernity to the next level."

Before working at Mellanox Technologies, O’Hara served for 15 years as the vice president of worldwide sales for EZchip Technologies, which is until EZchip was acquired by Mellanox for $811 million in February 2016. In addition, O’Hara also served in senior management positions at Conexant Systems and AMD.

“We are pleased to welcome Rob to our organization as a preeminent member of our sales team. Rob brings many years of experience in leading sales operations at EZchip, an ASIC-based network processor player. Together with the recent appointment of Critz Chan as VP Sales, APAC, we are well structured for significant growth around Ethernity's patented programmable Flow Processor technology," added David Levi, CEO of Ethernity.

Chan brings over 30 years’ experience, over 20 of which are in executive and sales leadership roles. Before joining Ethernity, he acted as vice president of sales, APAC for Telestax. Prior to that, he held the position of vice president of sales at Allot Communications. Throughout his career Chan has filled several key executive positions with major corporations, including NMS Communications (now Dialogic), General DataComm and Prime Computer.

“I am excited to have this opportunity to grow the business as part of the Ethernity family,” said Chan. “I look forward to expanding the company’s sales and support capability throughout APAC, while working together with our partners to develop smarter and more efficient data/telecom solutions for the market.”
