PTC elects Stephen Ho as president and chair

The Pacific Telecommunications Council has named CITIC Telecom CEO Stephen Ho as its new president and chair of the board of governors.

Ho will serve his third term as president and chair at PTC, the global non-profit membership organisation which promotes information and communication technology in the Pacific Rim region.

“I am very honored and excited to be elected as president of PTC. With the support and advice of a seasoned team including the Board of Governors, Advisory Council and the Secretariat, we shall execute the PTC’s vision and mission to the best of our ability for our members and community,” said Ho.

Ho’s appointment comes as PTC’s annual conference in Hawaii comes to an end. Also elected to th board of governers was Thales Alenia Space North America senior director of marketing and sale Timothy Logue; Belcarra (British Columbia, Canada) councillor Bruce Drake; and Cornerstone Capital partner Brian Tellam. All three were elected as vice presidents, while GapSat Hong Kong SAR China CEO Gregg Daffner was named secretary.

Ho takes over the position from TierPoint chief revenue officer Tony Rossabi, who will now serve as treasurer of the organisation. Capacity recently caught up with Rossabi - check out the full interview HERE

“Stephen Ho has been unfailingly supportive of PTC’s vision, mandate and actions. His third term provides us with continuity and forward thinking, and his intimate knowledge of our Membership is invaluable,” said Sharon Nakama, CEO of the Pacific Telecommunications Council. 

“I am excited that as Treasurer, Tony Rossabi will continue to oversee the financial performance of PTC. I want thank him for his service as president. We achieved tremendous growth in the past two years, welcoming numerous new members, expanding our reach across emerging ICT segments and transforming our organization for decades to come.”
