Colt names Edison as new VP of wholesale

Colt Technology Services has named former Level 3 SVP Andrew Edison as vice president - wholesale in order to accelerate partnerships and global networking solutions for the wholesale segment.

Edison brings over 25 years of leadership experience in sales, business operations, global and go to market strategies. Most recently, he was senior vice president sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Level 3/CenturyLink. He has also held roles with AT&T, were he worked for more than 20 years, most recently as region vice president for EMEA.

Edison said: “I am excited to join Colt to drive profitable revenue growth, deliver robust global wholesale partnerships and continue Colt’s momentum of providing customers with a superior customer experience. As Colt becomes increasingly global and continues its leadership in high bandwidth networking solutions, SDN and on-demand, I am extremely optimistic about the future with our valued clients and partners.”

Edison’s new role will see him reporting directly to Colt’s chief commercial officer (CCO), Tom Regent, with a focus on bolstering Colt’s wholesale strategy.

Edison takes the reins from Tim Passingham, who spent almost a year and a half as Colt’s VP of wholesale. Capacity understands Passingham is to leave the company at the end of January. Colt has confirmed his departure.
