MTT Finland launches wholesale operations in northern Europe

MTT Finland, a new wholesale carrier, has launched operations in Northern Europe.

The firm, which is headquartered in Helsinki and also has offices in both Rome and Frankfurt, provides wholesale voice, smart solutions for over-the-top providers, and IPX/GRX services to the B2O market.

Among the top 10 largest Russian telecoms companies, MTT was founded in more than 22 years ago and claims to serve thousands of corporate customers.

The operator said it now plans to gradually expand its presence in Europe, with the aim of establishing more than 100 direct interconnections with Tier-1 carriers by the end of 2018.

Luca Toncelli, sales director at MTT Finland, said: “Our international team is looking forward to forging new partnerships in the European carrier community. We already secured a number of deals recently with such companies as Viber, Intermatica, MOBIK, Carrier Italia and Afinna One amongst others, and hope that Capacity Europe 2017 will provide a great space for further collaborations and synergy potential in Europe for us.”
