Rackspace has signed an agreement to acquire Datapipe, a provider of managed services across public and private clouds, managed hosting and colocation.
Rackspace says the acquisition, the
largest in the company’s history, will create a
"world leader in multi-cloud managed services". It also brings
important new capabilities to Rackspace and will enable the
company to better serve customers of all kinds, globally and at

abilities in managing multiple clouds at scale, and with the
acquisition of Datapipe, which serves large enterprises such as
Johnson & Johnson, McDonalds and Rubbermaid, Rackspace will
be able to meet this growing demand.

applications across public and private clouds, managed hosting,
and colocation, depending on the blend of performance, agility,
control, security, and cost-efficiency they’re

Rackspace will develop a comprehensive integration plan and
will take great care to maintain and enhance the exceptional
customer outcomes that both companies are known for.
Rackspace will welcome 825 Datapipe employees into its ranks
and pending regulatory approvals, Rackspace’s
acquisition of Datapipe is expected to close in Q4
