Singtel is to stop installing new copper-based networks to business premises from next April, and will move completely to fibre.
The company ceased deploying copper networks to residential premises four years ago.
"Fibre-based networks today are capable of offering far greater
speeds and supporting a much wider range of services than the
prevailing copper-based networks. Fibre also provides customers
with a robust connectivity that supports unified business
communication applications and smart home services," said Wong
Soon Nam, Singtel vice president of consumer products.
