Tugee to head up SEACOM’s new business division in Africa

SEACOM has named Tonny Tugee as head of its newly formed SEACOM Business in Kenya and its service provider division for east Africa.

Tonny Tugee 160 x 186In this new role, Tugee will lead a team of ICT staff with the goal of increasing uptake of SEACOM’s connectivity and cloud services in the region. Also, as regional head of sales for Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda, Tugee will have strategic and operational sales oversight over SEACOM’s business across East Africa.

Tugee holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Nairobi and joins from Safaricom, where he held the role of head of enterprise sales and retention. There he led the team charged with growing and retaining revenues in the business-to-business, business-to-government and wholesale environment.

He said Tugee "has the intimate knowledge of the Kenyan telecom market and the leadership skills we require to deliver the exceptional customer experience that East African enterprises deserve from their telecom partners."
