IP Telecom inks €500k wholesale deal with GoldStar Telecom

IP Telecom, the Irish VoIP (voice over internet protocol) provider, has signed a deal with GoldStar Telecom in a contract worth €500,000.

Anthony Tattan, commercial director, IP Telecom, said: “Our partnership is based strongly on very similar work ethics and practices. Support and customer experience are paramount to both organisations and we look forward to many more years working together.”

The three year deal sees IP Telecom provide GoldStar with wholesale voice traffic, number porting and provisioning, a continuation of the ongoing partnership between the two that began in 2012.

Having been founded in 2010, IP Telecom provides phone systems that operate solely on the cloud and GoldStar is the sole Irish distributor for Ericsson LG business telephone systems and IP PBX (Internet Protocol, Private Branch Exchange).

IP Telecom has invested heavily in developing its own cloud based telephone system, for consistency and call quality, as a result it now has more than 20,00 network end points across thousands of businesses in Ireland.

Director of GoldStar Telecom, Liam Tracey commented on the continued partnership with IP Telecom saying: “We are dealing with the people that have designed, planned and implemented the solutions we’re deploying. Having that level of expertise and backup is essential when delivering mission critical voice solutions.

"GoldStar Telecom prides itself on providing excellent support to our customers and as a result, we rely on top level service from our suppliers. Being able to contact key people in IP Telecom when we need them is vital to our business and the service we receive from them is second to none.”

The news comes as part of an apparent expansion plan for IP Telecom who, only in March, signed a similar deal worth €1.5 million with Radius Technologies.
