Mauricio Flores, the former sub-director of IP network engineering for Telefónica Mexico, has been named as the new chief operating officer for McAllen Data Center (MDC).
"I know first-hand what is required from the
carrier’s perspective and I plan to use this
comprehension to help produce better products and services for
MDC customers," said Flores. "Over the past years, I have been
focused on Mexico, its regulatory environment, and complex

telecoms sector, his new responsibilities include overseeing
and managing the company’s operations, engineering
and customer service, with a focus on driving growth for the
company on the border.
"Mauricio brings substantial experience in the Mexican
telecom industry acquired over the past two decades," said Juan

trusted leader in the industry and has been a long time
personal friend. His experience with
Telefónica perfectly aligns him with McAllen Data
Center’s expansion plans."
With over 20 years' experience in telecoms, Flores first
joined Telefónica Mexico in 2009. In his most recent
role as sub-director of IP network engineering, Flores was
responsible for engineering, implementation and operation of
fixed mobile and digital services for both B2C and B2B
