Colt names Ashish Surti as chief information security officer

Ashish Surti has been appointed to the position of chief information security officer at Colt Technology Services.

Ashish Surti 160 x 186As such, Surti will be responsible for Colt’s information and cyber security strategy and will lead the company’s computer security incident response team. 

Reporting directly to Colt’s chief technology officer Rajiv Datta, Surti will manage all of the internal and external security threats to Colt’s products, network infrastructure, business information systems, starting from assessment and evaluation to prioritisation and mitigation. Ultimately strengthening Colt’s information security strategy by continually enhancing and embedding cyber risk management and logical security practices into all company activities.

With over 15 years’ experience, Surti joins Colt from TSB Bank where he was their first CISO. In this role he was responsible for information risk management, security consultancy & architecture and cyber intelligence & response. 

The new appointment comes as part of Colt’s recruitment drive to bolster its leadership team and improve its customer experience within the network industry. A move backed Colt’s €200m investment into the business throughout 2017 and as it celebrates its 25th anniversary year.

Other recent appointments include TS Narayanan as chief information officer and Tom Regent as chief operating officer.
