China Unicom launches BICS’s instant roaming hub

Ahead of Mobile World Congress Shanghai, BICS has announced that China Unicom Global has deployed its instant roaming hub to provide customers with high-quality connectivity, all around the world.

China Unicom said: “At the beginning of 2017, we launched an overseas mobile virtual network operator service named CUniq in Hong Kong, UK and US, allowing customers to enjoy exclusive, excellent and unique mobile communication experiences. Customers can use one-card-multiple-numbers with worldwide data sharing at a local price. It was therefore important for us to select a roaming partner who can truly offer a global solution with minimal time invested. BICS’s carrier-grade solution upgrades our customers’ connectivity around the clock, wherever in the world.” 




The deployment offers stable end-to-end global integrated telecommunications and solutions. Users will global roaming coverage and instant access to mobile networks worldwide. The capabilities of the hub have been proven and entirely hosted on BICS’s global network infrastructure.




According to BICS, the number of roaming customers increase by 34%, while the data roaming traffic increased by 265% year-on-year. Highlighting the need for high-quality mobile experiences both international and domestic, as well as the rising need of global connectivity for a multitude of new connected devices.
