Lightower to strengthen all-fibre connectivity to cable landing stations

Lightower has launched an initiative to strengthen its all-fibre connectivity to cable landing stations across the US East Coast.

The company says that, by using their existing and customisable all-fibre networking solutions, carriers, content providers, service providers can easily connect to and from the cable landing stations and networking hubs.

"Lightower's high capacity connectivity within key cable landing stations allow organisations endless international connectivity options," commented Phil Olivero, CTO for Lightower.

Lightower designs custom all-fibre networking solutions between cable landing stations to its  on-net data centres, on-net telco hotels and central offices, major cloud providers, or service locations offering high-performance connectivity from the US to abroad.

"From these cable landing stations, organizations can leverage Lightower's geographically diverse network paths across the [US] north-east, including its multiple crossings from Manhattan to NJ as an alternate route in highly congested areas, as well as our unique Transcom route, which utilizes a unique path, diverse of the I-95 corridor, between New York City and Washington DC," said Olivero.
