With the opening of the two new interconnection hubs, MDC will become the only carrier neutral provider with presence in the three largest gateways between Mexico and the US.
MDC said key benefits of the two new facilities, which were announced at this year’s Mexico Connect event, include diversity and choice in fibre passing in and out of Mexico; a wider choice of colocation facilities; and a better range of interconnection opportunities.

McAllen Data Center works with carriers and enterprises, offering interconnect services with major network service providers on the US-Mexico border.
One provider who recently partnered with MDC was FiberLight, which committed to building new fibre routes around MDC’s facilities.
“Flexibility of choice is what makes us such a good fit with MDC, we both believe that customers should have the right to choose what works best for them,” said Ron Kormos, chief strategy officer for FiberLight.
“That is why we have committed to and are currently building into MDCs new and existing data centres.”
