Cyta's satellite facility earns WTA Tier 3 certification

Cyta has announced that its facility in Makarios, Cyprus, has been given full Tier 3 certification by the World Teleport Association (WTA) Teleport Certification Program.

“We are proud to add the Makarios Teleport in Cyprus to our growing list of certified teleports,” said executive director Robert Bell. “A Full Certification from WTA provides independent validation of the quality of Cyta’s operations for its customers and prospects throughout the region.”

Cyta’s Makarios Teleport offers extensive international reach, servings as a major telecommunications hub in the eastern Mediterranean by offering a wide range of satellite services, along with links to Cyta’s international fibre network.

Cyta’s global services include gateway and hosting services, satellite monitoring and control operations, satellite TV, IP links and VSAT services.

“Cyta’s Makarios Teleport enjoys a privileged geographical location in Cyprus with optimal conditions for satellite communications,” said Christos Limnatitis, manager of Cyta’s national and international wholesale division.

“We are pleased with the full certification of Makarios Teleport by the WTA and anticipate that this will enhance awareness about our capabilities. This certification is the best proof of the state-of-the-art infrastructure and the high level of services offered to our customers.”
