GTT establishes carrier division

GTT has created a new carrier division and appointed Jeff Beer as its head.

GTT has created the new carrier division alongside two others - enterprise and EMEA - in an attempt to accelerate sales growth and enhance the client experience.

A new president has been appointed with each new division. Jeff Beer heads the carrier division including all carrier accounts in the Americas and GTT’s largest web-centric clients. Beer who has been with GTT for roughly eight years has held a number of executive roles at the company, through the acquisition of Tinet.

Eric Warren leads the enterprise division which includes all US government clients and all clients in the Americas. Warren recently joined GTT after holding executive roles at Windstream and TW Telecom.

Lastly, Martin Ford has been appointed as president of the EMEA division, which includes, enterprise clients in EMEA and carrier clients in EMEA and APAC. Ford joined GTT through the acquisition of Hibernia Networks following an extended tenure with Level 3.

Speaking on the new divisions Rick Calder, GTT president and CEO, said: “Former GTT chief revenue officer, Layne Levine, has left the company to pursue other opportunities. We appreciate his outstanding work over the past five years and wish him the best in the future. Moving forward, we are excited to announce our three divisions and their outstanding leaders. We are demonstrating our commitment to providing a differentiated client experience built around the unique attributes of our core values — simplicity, speed, and agility — that define each client interaction.”
