Equinix appoints Ognall to head up UK channel business

Equinix has named Simon Ognall as UK channel and alliance director, looking after the data centre firm’s channel partner in the region.

Ognall joins from data management ad cloud storage solutions firm NetApp, where he served for five years, most recently as head of channel.

He has held a number of senior positions overseeing channel programs for Simon Magee, Bytes Technology and ShiftF7.

The new role will see Ognall lead Equinix’s UK channel team, which oversees the data centre firm’s Channel Partner Program, which allows partners to both resell and refer its services. These services include connectivity to major providers including: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Office365, Google Cloud Platform, IBM SoftLayer, Salesforce and Oracle Cloud.
