IFN deploys PoP at 365 Data Centers facility

Indiana-based network service provider Indiana Fiber Network (IFN) has established a point of presence (PoP) at 365 Data Centers’ Indianapolis data centre.

The PoP will expand cloud connectivity options and provide peering access to the Midwest Internet Exchange (MidWest-IX).

"This point of presence is great news for our customers because they now have access to 365 Data Centers' secure, reliable and compliant colocation solutions," said August Zehner, vice president of sales and marketing for Indiana Fiber Network.

"They can leverage carrier neutral connectivity to any of the 12 providers currently in this facility and peering through the MidWest-IX, where they can reduce the costs associated with moving Internet traffic."

Steve Weaver, vice president of sales and marketing for 365 Data Centers, added: "This partnership supports our strategy of pushing networks to the edge as IFN provides unparalleled reach, connecting over 4,000 buildings, across the state of Indiana. Access to the IFN fibre network is a tremendous benefit to our customers in Indiana and to content and cloud providers across the nation."

Back in November, edge colocation provider 365 Data Centers announced a Tier 2 strategic cloud partnership with Zayo.
