ICSS and Slovak Telekom sign wholesale voice agreement

Deutsche Telekom International Carrier Sales & Solutions (ICSS) and Slovak Telekom have signed an agreement to consolidate its international wholesale voice business.

The agreement to integrate the international voice trading activities of Slovak Telekom under the umbrella of Deutsche Telekom ICSS, leveraging synergies for both companies as of January 1 2017.

“I’m very pleased about this cooperation, which enables Slovak Telekom to fully take advantage of our economies of scale in the international wholesale voice business and the competence of our international trading expert team,” said Tamas Sandor, head of global voice at Deutsche Telekom ICSS.

The integration includes the aggregation of trading, commercial and technical routing and network optimisation. This partnership will allow Slovak Telekom to serve its customers more cost effectively with premium voice quality. Traffic will flow through the Deutsche Telekom network via its next generation voice international (NGVi) network switch in Frankfurt.

Otomar Ambros, wholesale relationship director at Slovak Telekom, added: “The offer from Deutsche Telekom ICSS was persuasive and allows us to focus even better on our retail core business and customers. We are looking forward to a successful partnership.”
