Vodafone appoints Humphries as group enterprise director

Vodafone has named Dell EMC CMO Brian Humphries as its new group enterprise director, replacing Nick Jeffery.

Humphries will oversee Vodafone Group’s Global Enterprise division, which provides services for more than 1,700 of the world’s largest multinational companies. He will also be responsible for its Internet of Things unit, its wholesale Carrier Services division, and its cloud and hosting business.

Humphries joins from Dell, where he was most recently president and COO of its infrastructure solutions unit. He has also held roles with Hewlett-Packard and Compaq.

He takes over the role from Jeffery, who became Vodafone UK CEO in July after former chief Jeroen Hoencamp moved over to head up its JV with Liberty Global in the Netherlands.

Humphries will join the executive board and report directly to Vodafone Group chief executive Vittorio Colao.

Colao said: “Brian has extensive and diverse international leadership experience and a strong track record in driving market share growth. We are delighted to welcome him to Vodafone."
