“To cope with the increasing demands for bandwidth, we have started the construction of one of the largest 10-100G wavelength networks connecting approximately 100 cities throughout Sweden including Oslo and Copenhagen.
Johan Bergin, head of wholesale at DGC, told Capacity the network is being built to cope with the increasing demands for bandwidth, adding: “It will connect approximately 100 cities throughout Sweden, including Oslo and Copenhagen.”
Two-thirds of the network is already finalised - with the south of Sweden, Oslo and Copenhagen all ready for service - and is set to be completed in 2017.
