Juniper Networks selected by MásMóvil to support convergence

Juniper Networks has been chosen to build a converged multi-service high-performance edge network for Spanish mobile operator MásMóvil.

The deal will see Juniper Networks build a new network, powered by a single high-performance IP infrastructure, which will enable MásMóvil to efficiently expand its fixed, mobile, asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL), fibre and data center service offerings to residential, enterprise and carrier segments.

“MásMóvil’s network implementation demonstrates how technology can help provide a true business advantage,” said Arturo Sotillo, general manager Spain at Juniper Networks.

“Juniper is pleased to support MásMóvil’s business transformation and technology foundation and is committed to helping MásMóvil accomplish its strategic objectives through superior technology and long-term support.”

MásMóvil is evolving from a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) to a fully-integrated operator, after acquiring Yoigo and Pepepone, and new backbone network, which comprises of Juniper Networks’ MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers, will simplify the integration of future infrastructure additions into its growing business.
