Cleareon Fiber Networks goes live with Tri-State PoPs

Cleareon Fiber Networks has announced its points of presence (PoPs) in New York City and New Jersey are now ready to offer dark fibre and Ethernet services.

Cleareon had announced in July that it had established a PoP at Telehouse’s 85 10th Avenue Chelsea data centre and that it would start offering dark fibre services in Q4 2016 and had earlier expanded its network by adding a PoP in Digital Realty’s 111 8th Avenue colocation facility.

As part of the New York City-based provider's service rollout it is offering a multi-gig (up to 10GE) Ethernet ring service and its fibre network is a cross-connect away hundreds of wired and wireless carriers, clouds, financial networks and content providers across the Tri-State area.

Cliff Kane, co-CEO of Cleareon, said the New York City-based provider was excited to announce its service-ready status along with introducing the PANMetro Ethernet services offering.

"With our new service assurance platform coming online, Cleareon continues to lead the charge in providing transparency unique within the networking industry. Cleareon's services include carrier-grade metro Ethernet services and connectivity, SLA performance monitoring and assurance reporting.

Kevin Rocks, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Cleareon, added: "By collocating in just one site, PANMetro Ethernet users can now sell their own services to hundreds of customers over a dedicated, protected Ring, eliminating the need to create a business case for leasing additional rack space and power in other facilities. Service providers and end-users with high capacity IP and data traffic require an Ethernet platform that can scale beyond GigE, with the ability to easily load balance traffic between data centres and Meet Me Rooms."
