Orange Belgium appoints wholesale and innovation officer

Orange Belgium has appointed Werner De Laet to be chief wholesale and innovation officer from 1 October. De Laet will continue in his existing role as CEO of Orange Luxembourg.

De Laet will be responsible for managing the wholesale operations of Orange Belgium – which operated as Mobistar until it was rebranded earlier in 2016 – as well as its innovation arm, reporting directly to the Orange Group.

At the same time Michaël Trabbia, CEO of Orange Belgium, confirmed two other appointments for 1 October and one for 1 December.

Alain Ovyn, the current chief customer service officer, be responsible for digital transformation. He will also be responsible for operational performance and IT. His new title, from 1 October, will be chief transformation and digital officer.

Purchasing director Stéphane Janssens will be chief customer experience officer from 1 October.

Arnaud Castille, who has been Orange group’s head of mergers and acquisitions since 2013, will become CFO of Orange Belgium from 1 December, replacing Ludovic Pech, who becomes the group’s CFO for the Middle East and Africa. Castille earlier spent six years as CFO of Maroc Telecom.
