Charter boosts government affairs arm

Charter Communications has announced two additions to its government affairs organisation.

Alex Hoehn-Saric has been promoted from senior vice president of federal affairs to take on the newly created position of senior vice president of policy and external affairs. Hoehn-Saric is tasked with leading a team focusing on Charter's public policy positions and building external third-party relationships.

Elizabeth Biley Andrion joins as senior vice president of regulatory affairs after a 10-year stint at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). She will be responsible for advancing Charter's interests before federal regulatory agencies. At the FCC Andrion served in a variety of leadership positions, including as chief of the office of strategic planning, which advises the chairman, commissioners, and all other divisions on developing strategic plans and policy objectives.

Both Hoehn-Saric and Andrion will report to Catherine Bohigian, Charter’s executive vice president of government affairs, who said of the appointments: "I am thrilled that Alex will be leading this important part of our government affairs work and that Elizabeth will be joining our team. With an impressive track record at the Federal Communications Commission and a wealth of knowledge regarding our industry, Elizabeth will be an excellent manager of our regulatory group and a valuable asset to our company."
