ColoGuard boosts data centre footprint to 60,000 sq ft

ColoGuard has expanded into New Jersey and acquired 10,000 sq ft of data centre space at 111 Town Square Place (111 TSP), boosting the company’s overall footprint to over 60,000 sq ft.

With this latest portfolio addition, ColocationGuard is helping to meet the demand for colocation, connectivity, and redundancy in the Northeast of the country. Its customers now have access to an array of connectivity options from Tier1 providers, including Lightower Fiber Networks and Zayo, which will also directly connect ColocationGuard’s Brooklyn data centre facilities to the new Jersey City location. Level 3 established a point of presence (PoP) in ColocationGuard’s Brooklyn facility last month.

“ColocationGuard’s expansion into Northern New Jersey is based on feedback received from businesses in a variety of industries, including internet carriers, healthcare, and financial services, and will provide data centre customers with a direct path to New York,” said Ray Sidler, CEO of ColoGuard Enterprise Solutions.

“Whether looking to increase their disaster recovery capabilities or utilise additional colocation options, customers in Northern New Jersey now have the bandwidth necessary to remain ahead in the marketplace.”

The infrastructure at 111 TSP, designated a Tier III facility by the Uptime Institute, has the ability to support a high-density server environment with a fully redundant power architecture with a capacity of up to 12Mw of electricity. Businesses currently utilising 111 TSP will also have direct access to the company’s Brooklyn-based Meet-Me-Room, the ability to connect with all major PoPs in New York, and managed services benefits. The facility’s cooling infrastructure provides a 3,320 N+1 closed loop data centre cooling tower plant with free cooling capabilities.
