BSO launches PoP to boost Mexican connectivity

BSO has hailed the establishment of a point of presence (PoP) in McAllen Data Center, the largest colocation provider in South Texas, as a ‘gateway to Mexico’.

The launch at McAllen PoP is part of the global Ethernet network, cloud and hosting provider’s aggressive US expansion plan and will further enhance BSO’s North to South US connectivity and network reach across the Americas with its single point of entry to the growing Mexican and South American markets.

“BSO is coming to America in a big way and investing heavily in infrastructure around the country to provide our clients with the fastest and most reliable connectivity in the world,” says Michael Ourabah, CEO at BSO.

“It is part of BSO’s guiding principles to empower our customers to operate without the limits of borders – and we are doing just that by providing a gateway to Mexico with McAllen Data Center.”

Customers of McAllen Data Center, which offers colocation services for carriers and enterprises in McAllen, Texas, will also benefit with access to global markets in Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East on BSO’s extensive network.

Juan Salazar, CEO of McAllen Data Center, added: “We are happy to welcome BSO to our ecosystem of leading international carriers. BSO’s network reaches every continent throughout 20 countries and 88 data centres around the world. BSO’s expansion into McAllen Data Center will provide our customers with a single point of entry to BSO’s global network, linking the US and Mexico to established markets in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.”

In recent weeks BSO has established a New York City Metro network with a diverse route to Aurora DC3 in Chicago and introduced three key premium ultra low-latency trading routes. Outside the US it has also partnered with Russia’s IXcllerate in May to improve fibre access into and out of Moscow.
