Zenlayer installs PoP in Interxion’s Madrid data centre

Zenlayer has bolstered its European backbone by adding a point of presence (PoP) in Interxion’s Madrid data centre campus.

The move broadens the SDN network and service provider’s global footprint, boosting user experience on its European network. Interxion's Madrid data centre campus also offers Zenlayer rich interconnectivity access to the Spanish market and internet exchange providers (IXPs) ESpanix and DE-CIX.

Zenlayer can optimise the reach and performance of its networks and reduce the cost of IP transit, which will support its key Chinese customers, such as LeEco, formerly Letv, and UCloud, as they advance their overseas development to reach a wider global audience.

"Together with their deployment with Interxion in Frankfurt, Zenlayer is now perfectly placed to offer their services across the European continent,” said Doug Loewe, VP of international sales at Interxion.

“Like all of our data centres, Interxion's Madrid data centre campus provides 99.999% availability and 24x7 operational support, so Zenlayer can rely on Interxion to deliver a best in class service as they expand their operations across Europe."

Zenlayer's new PoP in Madrid builds upon its existing partnership with Interxion in Europe which started in 2014.
