Reliance Communications to launch 4G LTE in India

Reliance Communications (RCom) is set to launch 4G LTE services across India in phases.

Beginning August 2016, the operator will deploy the services in Mumbai, Delhi, Calcutta, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh and collaborate with Reliance Jio Infocomm in a sharing agreement over time.

RCom is set to complete tests around lawful interception and monitoring (LIM) of its 4G network, across to sources of the Economic Times.

The operator announced earlier this week that it has started to shut down its CDMA network in a bid to migrate its 6 million CDMA customers to 4G LTE in most regions.
