German carrier Htp increases sales by 7%

German regional carrier Htp has generated record sales in 2015, an increase of 7% over last year.

German regional carrier Htp has generated sales of €63.9 million in 2015, an increase of 7% from €59.9 million in 2015, with earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) up 7% to €5.3 million, from €5 million. Profit was down 6% to €3.1 million. This compares to €3.4 million in 2015. Htp invested over €15 million in 2015, up 73% from €8.7 million the year before, of which €10 million was invested in a VDSL roll-out and connecting new areas within its regions and providing with fibre to the home. The number of private customers increased by 3 % to 88,700, from 86,345 in 2014, with the number of business customers up by 3% to 9,600, from approximately 9,350 the previous year.

The company has just announced plans to deliver VDSL services to the communities of Soehlde and Garbolzum in Feldbergen from early 2017. Htp is said to be investing €225,000 in the roll-out. 

Established 14 years ago, today Htp GmbH in Hanover is one of the strongest regional carriers in Germany.Htp is a telecommunication service provider for the commercial region formed by the three cities of Hanover, Brunswick and Hildesheim. Equal partners in the company are the City of Hanover and EWE AG in Oldenburg. 

htp offers telephone and DSL connections of different bandwidths as well as value added and network services for private and business customers. The solutions for the Internet and data traffic are located in three, high-security data centres, owned by the company.
