AT&T expands 1Gbps service in five US markets

AT&T has expanded its gigabit broadband footprint by rolling out its ultrafast internet service, which it claims has speeds of up to 1Gbps, across its GigaPower network in five more US cities.

AT&T has expanded the service to more homes, apartments and small businesses in parts of Chicago (Hampshire, Munster and St. John), Dallas-Fort Worth (Richardson), Houston (Friendswood, Pearland, Manvel, Missouri City), Miami/Fort Lauderdale (Coral Springs, North Miami and Tamarac), and San Antonio (Converse).

The service runs across AT&T GigaPower’s 100% fibre network and will boost services and customer experiences, including when streaming, downloading, and connecting to the cloud or videoconferencing.
