FiberLight appoints SVP of sales

FiberLight has named Jim Hintze as SVP of sales in charge of its dark fibre, wavelength and metro Ethernet services.

Hintze will focus on broadening relationships with data centre and content providers, mobile and terrestrial carriers, cable MSO and next-generation communications providers.

“[Hintze's] expertise and guidance will be invaluable as we look to deliver a paradigm shift in performance optimization, network availability and quality of service to solve growing bandwidth requirements and fulfill market demands,” said Jim Lynch, executive chairman and CEO at FiberLight and managing partner at Thermo Capital Partners.

Hintze was previously VP of North American sales and global channels at BTI Systems where he focussed on developing global alliances, channel partners and direct sales for the company's SDN and NFV-enabled data centre and cloud infrastructure services.

Hintze said: “FiberLight’s rapid provisioning, service scalability and rich product set ranging from dark fiber to completely managed services, including custom blends of both, allows us to fill a void for enterprise and network service providers, and enable the seamless integration of emerging and future hyperscale applications such as streaming video and cloud connectivity."

“A rapidly evolving and highly disruptive force of innovation for the modern-day enterprise, the trending new and emerging web initiatives require intelligent, secure, scalable and reliable networking technologies to serve as their optimal foundation,” he added.
