CSG names president of global carrier business

CSG International has announced that Phillip Yoo will now serve as the president of CSG’s global carrier business.

Yoo, who was previously the senior vice president of global services, will set the strategic direction for sales and delivery of CSG’s solutions for telco and wireless carriers worldwide, as well as drive profitable growth within existing and new telecom client accounts.

“CSG’s solutions and services operate at the heart of the majority of the top 100 global communications service providers, where we provide tangible business value every day,” said Yoo.

“There’s more we can do to position our clients for success in the evolving digital economy and I’m excited to lead the charge during this unprecedented time of transformation in the telecom industry.”

Product alignment and strategies to support revenue and customer management operations for non-cable carriers is on Yoo’s agenda moving forwards. Yoo is responsible for boosting support to clients with their digital transformation programmes and expanding CSG’s global footprint in the telecommunications industry.

“Globally, telecom service providers are managing complex operating environments including legacy networks and services alongside a whole new digital service ecosystem,” said Bret Griess, CEO of CSG International, who was appointed three months ago.

“This makes the daily need to operate the existing business while innovating new products and services very difficult and our clients are asking for our expertise and solutions to help.”

Yoo has 29 years of experience in product management, software development, professional services and service delivery, gained with companies such as Ericsson, Comverse, Telcordia and Lucent Technologies.
