Epsilon co-founder joins NFV mobile start-up

Andreas Hipp, co-founder of Epsilon, has joined the leadership team of Cirrus Core Networks, a US-based NFV start-up in the mobile industry.

Hipp, who had stepped down as CEO of Epsilon in October 2015, joins the board of the firm focused on virtualisations for mobile network operators.

“Andreas brings unique experience to our business having co-founded both a service provider and equipment vendor,” said Adam Crane, CEO of Cirrus Core Networks.

“He is a true believer in disruptive business models and is committed to finding new ways to support service provider businesses.”

Hipp co-founded and was group CEO of Epsilon Global Communications. He played a key role in the development of its initial business plan and led the strategic transformation of the company while also launching its network equipment subsidiary Cataleya.

“I have joined Cirrus Core Networks because it offers a real opportunity to disrupt the mobile market,” added Andreas Hipp. “The opportunity to be part of this kind of innovation was too good to pass up.”
