Telstra to appoint new wholesale group executive

Telstra is set to appoint Will Irving as group executive of Telstra wholesale.

Irving is presently group managing director of Telstra Business. He has led Telstra’s small and medium business group since 2011, and prior to that served on Telstra’s Group General Counsel as well as being key member of the T3 privatisation and National Broadband Network negotiation teams.

He replaces Stuart Lee who has decided to stand down after almost 45 years at the company. Lee has been a member of Telstra's senior leadership team since 2005 and head of wholesale since 2011.

“We are fortunate to have Will Irving as a ready replacement for Stuart Lee, given he is an experienced Telstra executive, proven commercial negotiator and strong relationship builder with external partners. This is an ideal combination for our wholesale role,” said Andrew Penn, CEO at Telstra.
