TDC restructures management

Danish operator TDC is to reorganise parts of its Danish operations in a move aimed at delivering better customer experience in the country's market.

The restructuring will create three Danish retail business units which will each have complete responsibility for product development, sales, marketing and customer service.

“The main purpose of the new organisation is to bring TDC closer to its customers and allow TDC to develop and deliver the product and service offerings to its customers in a timelier manner based on a simplified operating model,” said the company.

The present Consumer business unit will be split into two business units – Online Brands and Household Brands – and together with TDC Business will form the three Danish retail business units.

Current business unit Channels, which comprises call centres and online department across the Danish part of the TDC Group, will be dissolved – leaving the three Danish retail business unit – Online Brands, Household Brands and TDC Business – with their own channels function.

Michael Moyell Juul has been appointed as head of online brands and member of TDC’s corporate management team. He will also serve as head of household brands. Moyell Juul has part of the Consumer management team since 2013, with responsibility for portfolio management as well as strategy and business development.

Jens Aalose, who is currently senior executive VP of Chanels, will take on the role of group CCO & stakeholder relations. He will also continue as a member of TDC’s corporate management team. Jesper Isaksen, chief human resources officer, has resigned and will leave TDC in the coming months.

The changes will be effective from January 2016 and, according to the group, is said to be “the first step in TDC Group’s plan for the coming years”.
