Interoute launches contact centre for its cloud hosted Skype and Lync services

Interoute has launched its cloud hosted contact centre add-on for Hosted Microsoft Skype for Business (SfB) and Microsoft Lync.

The company’s hosted contact centre is said to help companies enhance their call or contact centre services by utilising features from Microsoft’s enterprise collaboration suite through its global and private networked cloud.

Interoute claims its service will provide users with secure access to Microsoft Certified SIP trunking with global telephony routing and call recording as well IM routing for chat support with the ability to move between chat and voice sessions, among others.

“Contact centres have tended to be stuck behind the times when it comes to integrating with the collaborative ways people today communicate within a business,” said Mark Lewis, VP for communications and connectivity.

“Interoute’s offering turns this on its head, saving time for IT teams and putting users in control. If you want to move to Skype for Business, but couldn’t because it doesn’t integrate with your existing contact centre solution, you can now take our standard model and implement it at a transparent price, quickly, efficiently and globally. Businesses rely on flexible and seamless services to improve their customer experience and our solution offers them just that.”

According to Interoute, its contact centre capability can be deployed with Hosted SfB and/or Lync services with global telephone access numbers in weeks using its virtual data centre.
