Superloop expands network in Singapore

Superloop has expanded its Singapore network to cable landing stations in Tuas and Katong.

The move will connect the two landing stations with five data centres, offering customers a diverse dark fibre network in the country.

Michael Glynn, EVP for sales and marketing at Superloop, confirmed to Capacity at Capacity Asia 2015 that the operator is in the process of extending its network to more locations. Its plans include the development of a new independent data centre, as well as expanding into key enterprise buildings in Singapore.

In October, Superloop agreed to acquire Australia-based APEXnetworks (APEXN) for $5.8 million.

APEXN provides networking solutions and managed services to wholesale and channel partners, and the acquisition is expected to help Superloop better serve its wholesale and channel customers via APEXN’s IT and product platforms.
