NTT subsidiary opens data centre in Mumbai

NTT Communications subsidiary Netmagic has launched its ninth data centre in Mumbai, India.

Netmagic claims the facility is one of the largest of its kind, stretching 300,000 square foot and offering 2,700 racks.

The facility is already operational and serving anchor customers. It offer services such as dedicated hosting, cloud computing, IT infrastructure monitoring and management, managed security, disaster recovery and managed app hosting.

“Given Mumbai's business importance, Netmagic’s Data Center 5 is poised to soon become the very heart of India’s IT Infrastructure needs, offering the right platform for enterprises and start-ups alike, to grow, scale and innovate in order to take business to the next level,” said Sharad Sanghi, MD and CEO, Netmagic.

Earlier this month, NTT Communications launched its disasterrecovery as a service (DRaaS) solution across Europe, in partnership with Geminaire.
