Level 3 launches Secure Access Cellular Service

Level 3 Communications has launched its carrier neutral Secure Access Cellular Service, designed to act as a redundant and scalable option for internet connectivity.

The service provides redundancy for business continuity, and enables enterprise customers to take advantage of on-demand economy opportunities such as rapid network connectivity deployment for site expansions.

“In today's cyber landscape, we know we need to provide a secure and reliable solution for their network connections,” said Anthony Christie, chief marketing officer at Level 3.

“Secure Access Cellular gives enterprises added protection for business continuity so they don't lose productivity, especially with the holiday season right around the corner.”

Secure Access Cellular is the last addition to Level 3’s portfolio of managed security services including its network-based distributed denial of service (DDoS) Mitigation service launched in February this year.

The company acquired DDoS mitigation firm Black Lotus in July this year in a bid to enhance its security offering.

“At Level 3 we continue to enhance our security services portfolio to meet the growing requirements of our customers to protect their data without compromising network performance,” said Chris Ritcher, SVP of global security services at Level 3.

“Secure Access Cellular provides enterprises a dependable and flexible solution that combines backup connectivity with robust network security.”
