Verizon and Swisscom extend partnership agreement

Verizon and Swisscom have extended an existing partnership by three years, bringing the agreement to a total of ten years.

The agreement will continue to focus on the provision of global services to support Swiss multinational companies and companies with operations in the Swiss market.

It aims to offer Swisscom customers with access to Verizon’s global network and solutions, while providing Verizon customers in Switzerland with local market expertise from Swisscom.

The two organisations plan to leverage their joint capabilities in next-generation technologies such as SDN to better serve enterprise customers. They also plan to add new service offerings to the agreement, such as LAN and mobile LAN solutions, business Wifi, managed WAN optimisation and Verizon Secure Cloud Interconnect.

“The success of this alliance demonstrates how two companies can deliver better customer value by working together with a common purpose,” said Adam Famularo, Verizon’s VP of global channels. “Our joint objective is to enable our customers to do business better by more effectively delivering high performance networks and IT solutions locally, and globally.”
