Manx Telecom appoints chief executive

Manx Telecom on the Isle of Man has appointed Gary Lamb as chief executive officer at the company, effective immediately.

Lamb joined Manx Telecom as finance director in October 2011 and now takes over the role of CEO from Mike Dee.

“We have a great team of people working for the company and together we will continue to serve our valued customers and support the Isle of Man government to attract new business to the island,” Lamb said.

“We look forward to growing the company on the island, continuing to support the local community, and using our leading technology and skilled workforce to expand our business off-island.”

Recruitment is underway for a new finance director, with Paul Tierney appointed as interim CFO in the meantime.

In July last year, Manx Telecom revealed plans to launch its 4G service on the island.
