Telenor and TeliaSonera reveal joint venture senior management team

Nordic operators Telenor and TeliaSonera have revealed the chief executive of their joint venture in Denmark, as well as the company’s deputy chief and its CFO.

Hilde Tonne, from the executive management team at Telenor Group, will take on the role of CEO, with TeliaSonera Denmark CEO Søren Abildgaard and its CFO Dennis Kilian stepping in as deputy CEO and CFO respectively.

The two companies announced plans to merge their Danish operations in December last year, in a bid to cut costs and improve profitability in the country.

“We are pleased to announce Hilde Tonne, Søren Abildgaard and Dennis Kilian as the future CEO, deputy CEO with responsibility of consumer business with brands, channels and marketing and CFO respectively in TeliaSonera and Telenor’s Danish joint venture,” said Robert Andersson, EVP and head of Europe at TeliaSonera.

“The skills, core knowledge, and areas of experience of these three people complement each other and make them a very strong top management team.”

Tonne, Abildgaard and Kilian will commence their roles once the joint venture has been approved by the EU Commission. This is expected during the second half of 2015.
