Two Cisco senior execs resign

Cisco has announced that its president of development and sales Rob Lloyd and COO Gary Moore plan to step down on July 25.

Both depart the company a day before longstanding CEO and chairman John Chambers retires, who will be replaced by the company’s present SVP of worldwide field operations Chuck Robbins.

Lloyd and Moore had previously been identified as leading internal candidates to replace departing CEO Chambers.

The new CEO is due to announce his new organisational structure and leadership team within two weeks.

Moore joined Cisco in 2001 as head of services and was appointed president and COO in 2012. Lloyd spent 21 years at Cisco, and also oversaw the company’s IoT strategy.
