AMS-IX New York to use Sabey’s IGX Networks to provide ECCs

AMS-IX New York will use Sabey Data Centers’ IGX Networks to provide extended cross connects (ECCs) in Manhattan.

Utilising Sabey’s IGX Networks, AMS-IX New York will provide ECCs from 375 Pearl Street to both 60 Hudson Street and 32 Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan.

The arrangement will enable networks and carriers at both carrier hotels to connect to AMS-IX New York at Sabey’s Intergate.Manhattan data centre at 375 Pearl Street.

“Sabey Data Centers’ IGX Networks is a great opportunity for us to get more value from our point-of-presence at Intergate.Manhattan. This arrangement enables us to improve AMS-IX New York’s accessibility to potential customers and increase its value to existing customers,” said Job Witteman, CEO of AMS-IX.

John Sabey, president of Sabey Data Centers, said that with this partnership, AMS-IX will have a very compelling value proposition for networks in both 60 Hudson Street and 32 Avenue of the Americas.

“To our benefit, we believe that these same networks will be interested in the space, power and telecoms infrastructure that 375 Pearl Street offers,” said Sabey.

AMS-IX’s subsidiary, AMS-IX USA, and Sabey have reached commercial terms and are ready to accept customer orders, according to the companies.
