AMEER to be extended to Singapore

Turk Telecom International (TTI) has revealed that the AMEER cable is to be extended to Singapore by the end of this year’s second quarter.

The operator said that the AMEER cable – which was deployed to connect Western Europe to the Middle East and has landing stations in Germany, Turkey, Palestine, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE – will be extended to the Asian hub via a partnership with Bharti Airtel.

TTI also announced that is has joined the LINX ConneXions program.

“By joining the LINX ConneXions program, TTI significantly increases its presence and services in Western Europe,” TTI said in an emailed statement to Capacity.

“Under the program, TTI is certified to offer the LINX service via its international backbone network and provide customers with huge peering benefits. Benefits which include faster and more reliable connectivity, and membership of an active networking community.”
