Grivner makes jump from Pacnet to Colt

Colt Technology Services has today revealed the appointment of Carl Grivner as executive vice president of its network services business.

Former chief executive at Pacnet – which was acquired by Telstra last month – Grivner joins Colt’s executive committee as of May 1, 2015.

Colt’s network services unit provides data connectivity services to businesses and wholesale carriers across Europe, Asia and North America; regions in which Grivner has extensive experience.

“Colt already has world-class assets, products and services and most importantly, a hugely talented group of colleagues,” Grivner said.

“I look forward to the opportunity we have in combining these ingredients to create what I believe can be the pre-eminent alternative network services provider.”

Grivner has over 25 years of international leadership experience – including 12 years at CEO level in the telecoms industry – and prior to his three year stint at Pacnet, Grivner headed up US-based XO Communications.

“I am delighted to welcome Carl to Colt,” said Rakesh Bhasin, Colt CEO. “His extensive global experience and track record in delivering consistent profitable growth alongside superior customer service fit perfectly with our ambitions for the network services business.”
